MUA Live: Unleash Your Potential with Dr. Kai Haack

In 1974, Tim Gallwey published his book The Inner Game of Tennis. In it, he introduced this formula:

Performance = Potential minus Interferences (p=p-i)

This formula—which inspired MUA’s performance framework—provides an explanatory, developmental model that’s perfect for individuals, teams, and organizations. They can use it to explore how they can develop their potential and reduce interferences and limitations in their work.

Most employees and companies focus on developing “performance.” But the two key factors in Tim's equation—potential and interferences—receive little attention. However, employees who feel that they can develop their potential in a company don’t just perform better: they’re more creative problem-solvers, are more flexible, stay longer in their role, and are healthier.

In this upcoming MUA Live event, Dr. Kai Haack will present concrete, practical examples of how companies can use Tim’s formula to encourage employees to recognize and develop their potential. And he’ll illuminate the exact skills and characteristics of culture that company leaders should focus on.
